Hunter's Box Club

What's in the box: An exclusive custom-designed t-shirt plus a mix of hunting gear for use in the field, with new brands and items each month.

Hunter's Box Club is a US monthly subscription for active hunters who want practical gear instead of novelty items. Each box pairs field gear with an exclusive t-shirt made only for that month. The company says items never repeat, so if you skip a month, that month's shirt and gear are gone for good. When you sign up, you choose a box and give your tee size and hunting style, which the company uses to decide what to send you. The ongoing price is $39.99 a month. The site says your first box is free if you pay the $7.99 shipping. Members are also entered for chances to win high-end gear and fully paid hunts, but the site does not explain the odds, the prizes or how winners are picked. It also does not name specific brands or show past box contents, so it is hard to judge the value before your first box arrives. You can cancel online through a link on the site, which is reassuring. The marketing is aimed mostly at men, and if you don't wear graphic tees you may get less out of a box built around the shirt. Overall it looks like a simple, fairly priced choice for regular hunters who like trying new gear.
