Pondip

Closed. The domain now belongs to an unrelated website; the subscription box is no longer running. Launched in early 2014 and raised angel funding in 2015, with no recent activity or closure notice found.

What's in the box: When it operated, each box held an assortment of fishing tackle and accessories for anglers.

Pondip is no longer operating, and you can no longer order its subscription box. The pondiptacklebox.com address now leads to an unrelated online gambling site, so don't enter personal or payment details there. When it ran, Pondip was a UK fishing subscription that sent anglers a regular box of tackle. The idea was to let people try new gear without searching through shops themselves. The company launched in early 2014 and raised angel funding in 2015, so it had some early backing. Since then there has been no sign of recent activity, and no public closure notice or explanation has appeared. Pricing, delivery frequency and the brands it included are not stated anywhere current, so it is hard to judge how good the value was. For anglers in Great Britain who liked the idea of a surprise tackle delivery, the concept was appealing, especially for those keen to try gear they might not otherwise buy. Today, though, there is nothing to sign up for. If you want something similar, choose an active fishing subscription with a working website, clear terms and a visible way to contact the company before you hand over any money.
