What's in the box: When it operated, deliveries held concentrated household cleaning refills for topping up reusable bottles.

Pleasant State is no longer operating. The company has closed, its website no longer loads, and it stopped trading on 27 January 2026 after shareholders agreed to an orderly wind-down. You cannot place orders or start a subscription, so this review describes what the brand offered when it was running and is not a recommendation to buy. Pleasant State was an Australian household cleaning brand built around refills. You bought reusable bottles once and then topped them up with concentrated cleaning refills sent on a regular schedule, which cut down on single-use plastic. The range covered everyday cleaning around the home, such as surface sprays and other household cleaners, with a focus on plant-based formulas and less packaging waste. The idea was simple: fewer bulky plastic bottles in the cupboard and less water shipped across the country. The weakness of a refill system like this is that it ties you to one brand, and that matters when the brand shuts down. If you still have Pleasant State bottles, you can probably reuse them for other cleaning products, but label them clearly and never mix different chemicals. If you had an active subscription, check your bank or card statements to make sure no more charges are coming out. If you want a similar setup, look for an Australian refill cleaning service that is still trading.
