Gamejoule is no longer operating: the company closed in 2019 and its website no longer loads, so there is nothing to sign up for. When it was running, Gamejoule was a board game rental subscription based in Covington, Kentucky, serving players in the US. Instead of buying games outright, members could borrow titles, play them at home, and send them back. That made it a way to try games before spending money or shelf space on them. The rental model suited households and groups who like variety and move through games quickly. It also suited newcomers to the hobby who did not want to guess which purchase would be a hit at the table. Details such as pricing, how many games came at a time, how long you could keep them, and how returns worked are no longer available, so we cannot describe them reliably. Anyone who once had an account should not expect customer support or order help. If you want a similar experience today, look for a board game rental or subscription service that is currently active, or check whether your local library or a nearby game cafe lends games.
