What's in the box: When it ran, a typical order held seasonal fruit and vegetables from British farms, often with other fresh groceries from small producers.

Farmdrop is no longer operating. The company went into administration and closed permanently in December 2021 after it failed to secure new funding, and its old web address now redirects to Planet Organic, a separate organic retailer. When it was running, Farmdrop was a London based online grocer that set out to connect shoppers more directly with farmers and small producers. Customers ordered seasonal fruit and vegetables alongside other fresh groceries such as meat, fish, dairy and bread, and many used it for a regular weekly shop. The company focused on sourcing from named British producers and said it passed a larger share of each sale back to them than a typical supermarket would. Its appeal was traceable, seasonal food with a short supply chain. Its weakness, as the closure showed, was that the model proved hard to fund and grow. There is nothing to sign up for today. If you visit the old address you will find Planet Organic's shop instead. That is a different business with its own range and terms, and it does not continue the Farmdrop service. If you want seasonal produce delivered from local farms, you will need to look at other services that are still trading.
