Chorley Bricks

What's in the box: Each rental is a pre-loved medium or large LEGO set you pick from the hire catalogue, delivered by post or collected in Chorley.

Chorley Bricks is a small business in Chorley, Lancashire. It rents out pre-loved LEGO sets and also sells used parts and complete sets. It began in March 2020 as a side project rebuilding second-hand sets, started selling parts in early 2021, and later added a hire service. The site says it hires sets out across the country and also offers local pick-up from Chorley PR7. Its main local area is the North West of England, including Preston, Blackburn, Lancaster, Blackpool, Liverpool and Manchester. You book through the website, and there is a rental portal. The main appeal is that you can build medium and large sets without paying for a new box, and the bricks get reused. The homepage does not explain pricing, how long a rental lasts, deposits, or what happens if pieces go missing, so read the FAQs before you book. The numbers on the site also don't agree. It gives both 70+ and 100+ for the sets available to hire, and both 240,000+ and 290,000 for the parts listed, so some pages may be out of date. This is not a curated monthly box. It works more like a library of sets you choose from. For LEGO fans who like building more than keeping the finished model, it looks like a sensible, low-waste option.
