What's in the box: Boxes were built around board games selected for subscribers, though the exact contents of a typical box cannot be confirmed.

Board Game Crate is not currently operating, and its website no longer loads. It was a UK based subscription box for tabletop fans, built around sending board games to subscribers by post so they could discover new titles without researching every release themselves. Most coverage of the service dates from around 2017, and nothing more recent suggests it has returned. No closure notice or statement about its current status has been published, so exactly when it stopped trading is unclear. While it was running, the appeal was straightforward: a curated pick of games arriving at your door, which suited people who enjoy trying unfamiliar titles and building a collection gradually. The precise contents, pricing and delivery schedule are not something we can confirm, so older descriptions of the box should be treated with caution. If you want a board game subscription today, this is not an option. If you were once a subscriber, check that no old payment arrangements are still linked to the service, and look at boxes that are actively trading instead. We would not recommend trying to sign up or pay for anything under this name unless the business clearly relaunches with up to date information and contact details.
