What's in the box: When it operated, a box held a themed selection of Japanese stationery and journaling supplies, and in earlier years Japanese snacks and sweets.
ZenPop is not operating normally right now, as its website at zenpop.jp returns an HTTP 500 server error and does not load. When it was running, ZenPop was a Japan based subscription service that shipped boxes of Japanese products to customers abroad. It was best known for themed boxes of Japanese snacks and sweets, and it also ran a separate stationery box for people who enjoy journaling, planners, and Japanese pens and paper goods. According to our records, the company dropped its Japanese snack boxes in 2024 and kept only the stationery subscription. With the site now failing to load, we cannot confirm that even that box is still being sold or shipped. ZenPop's appeal was its curation of items that can be hard to find outside Japan, packed into a single themed shipment. The problem now is simple: there is no working storefront, no visible plan information, and no clear route to customer support. We do not recommend trying to subscribe. If you were a subscriber, check your payment statements for recurring charges, and contact your card provider if you see charges without deliveries. If you want Japanese stationery or snacks, look at services that are currently trading and can be checked before you pay.
