What's in the box: A curated set of new or gently used organic cotton baby or toddler clothes in your child's current size and season, chosen from premium brands.
UpChoose is a US clothing rental service for babies and young children. You pay a monthly fee and get a set of organic cotton clothes in your child's current size. You keep the set until it stops fitting. When it is time to size up, UpChoose sends the next set and you send the old one back in the mailer they provide. Shipping is free. Sizes run from newborn to 5T. A style quiz covers size, season and style, and you can choose new or preloved items. There are three plans, The Mini, The Standard and The Full. The site gives one example of $49 per month for 23 items but does not explain each tier up front. Damage insurance is included, so ordinary baby messes should not cost you extra, and you can pause or cancel anytime. The main appeal is getting certified organic cotton brands for much less than buying them new, with less clutter and less waste. The tradeoff is that you never own the clothes, so there is nothing to keep as a memento or hand down to a younger sibling. Families who want to pick exact pieces may also find the curated sets limiting. Expecting parents can add months of membership to a gift registry, which is useful.
