Thread is no longer operating, and its website at thread.com did not load when we checked. When it ran, Thread was a UK based online styling service. It focused mainly on menswear and later added womenswear. It did not send a fixed surprise box on a schedule. Instead it worked more like a personal shopping feed. New users answered questions about their size, budget, style and favourite brands. A mix of human stylists and recommendation software then suggested outfits and single pieces from a wide range of other brands. Customers chose what to buy, so they never received items they had not picked. This suited people who disliked browsing shops but wanted advice on what looked good on them. In 2021 Marks and Spencer took over the business, and the service later shut down. Because the site no longer loads, you cannot create an account, place an order or check past purchases through it. If you still have an open order or return with Thread, look for official notices from the company or its new owner rather than relying on the old site.
