The Bookish Box

What's in the box: Each box contains one exclusive special edition of a featured romantasy or adult romance book, with artist designed features.

The Bookish Box is the monthly subscription from The Bookish Shop, a bookstore in Gilbert, Arizona that also sells special edition books, preorders and fandom merchandise. Each month, subscribers get an Exclusive Luxe Edition of a featured title. The shop works with artists to design special features for these editions. There are two tracks. The Bookish Box covers New Adult romantasy and The Darkly Box covers Adult romance. The two boxes feature different titles, so subscribing to both should not lead to duplicates, and there is a combined plan. When we checked, the book only plans were listed at $38.00 a month for either box and $63.00 for both. All three were marked sold out, so spots may be limited and you might have to wait for a restock. The rest of the shop leans heavily on popular romantasy series such as A Court of Thorns and Roses, Fourth Wing and Throne of Glass, which shows clearly what kind of books the box favors. This box suits collectors who care about how a book looks on the shelf as much as the story inside. Readers who want other genres or a varied mix will find little here, and getting a subscription depends on when the shop has stock.
