What's in the box: Kits typically contained child friendly electronic parts such as LEDs, sensors or conductive dough, plus instructions for building and coding simple projects.

Tech Will Save Us is no longer operating: the company entered administration on 17 March 2021 and its website no longer loads, so there is nothing to order or subscribe to. When it ran, this London based business made hands on electronics and coding kits for children, designed to get young people building and tinkering with technology rather than simply using it. Its best known products included the Electro Dough Kit, which used conductive dough to light up LEDs and make simple circuits, and the Mover Kit, a wearable, programmable gadget that reacted to movement. The company was also involved in early work on the BBC micro:bit. The kits were known for bright, friendly design and for explaining basic ideas like circuits, sensors and simple code in a way younger children could follow. Because the business has closed, any companion apps, online project guides or customer support it once offered should be treated as unavailable, and replacement parts or warranty help are unlikely. If you come across a secondhand kit, check that all the components are present and that any required app or web tool still works before buying. If you want a STEM subscription for kids today, look at services that are still trading and taking orders.
