What's in the box: A box typically held a small selection of loose leaf teas sourced from several different tea companies.

Steepster Select is closed and is no longer taking orders or shipping boxes, and its website no longer loads. Steepster ended the subscription after a final July shipment and refunded members who had paid in advance. The year of that last shipment is not confirmed. When it ran, Select was a monthly tea box from Steepster, a long running online community where tea drinkers log, rate and discuss the teas they try. Each box gathered loose leaf teas from different tea companies, which let subscribers sample vendors they might not otherwise find. The concept fit the community well. You could taste a tea, read what other members thought of it, and add your own notes, so the box felt more like a guided tasting than a random assortment. Details such as pricing and the exact number of teas per box are no longer available. Because the service has shut down, there is nothing to sign up for, and you should be wary of any page that claims to sell it. If the idea appeals to you, look for an active tea sampler subscription that rotates vendors and provides clear tasting notes, and confirm that the company is currently shipping before you subscribe.
