What's in the box: A box you build yourself from 50+ chilled, single-serve plant-based ready meals, with optional snacks, drinks and pantry extras.
Soulara is an Australian ready-meal service that is fully plant-based. It does not send meal kits that need cooking. It sends chef-made meals that you heat and eat in a few minutes. The menu has more than 50 options. The bestsellers include familiar comfort food and Asian-inspired dishes such as Thai-style tofu, satay, mie goreng, lasagna and a yellow seitan curry. Single meals come in 350 g portions and are listed at $12.20 each. The shop also groups meals into high protein, medium and large ranges, plus meal packs and extras like snacks, drinks and pantry items. You build your own box instead of getting a fixed selection. Subscribing takes 5% off each order, and Soulara says you can skip, pause or cancel at any time with no lock-in contract. The company says its meals are dietitian approved and contain no preservatives, and that it uses oxygen to lock in freshness. It advertises delivery across Australia. Soulara has been owned by v2food since January 2024 but still trades under its own name. The main drawback is cost. At over $12 a meal, the bill grows quickly compared with cooking at home, and the subscription discount is small. For busy people who want vegan meals with no prep, it is a solid and flexible choice.
