What's in the box: A monthly shipment of shelf-stable emergency meals meant to be stored and added to a growing household food reserve.
Ready Prep is a US subscription for households that want to store emergency food without buying a large stockpile all at once. Each month you get a shipment of shelf-stable meals, and over time those boxes add up to a pantry reserve for power outages, storms or other disruptions. Spreading the cost and the storage space over many months is the main appeal, and it suits people who keep meaning to prepare but never get around to it. The brand also describes a guarantee on the first box, which lowers the risk of trying it. There is a lot the site does not make clear. It gives little independent detail on the specific recipes, the calorie count per serving, or how long the food lasts, so it is hard to compare Ready Prep with established long-term food brands that publish full nutrition and storage data. Most of the coverage online repeats the company's own marketing, and we found no hands-on taste testing. Before you subscribe, read the cancellation terms, check the shelf-life claims on the labels when your first box arrives, and work out what a full supply will cost you over several months compared with buying a bulk kit outright.
