Plants By Post

What's in the box: Rather than a curated box, you pick individual plants such as houseplants or olive trees, sent with optional free standard gift wrapping.

Plants By Post is a UK online plant shop, not a classic subscription box. You choose individual indoor and outdoor plants, from easy-care houseplants to olive trees. The only ongoing part is a yearly membership plan that promises savings on deliveries. The site does not say what the membership costs or what it includes. That is odd, because standard delivery to UK addresses is already advertised as free. If you want a surprise plant arriving every month, look elsewhere, because the site does not describe a recurring curated box. As a gift shop, though, it has clear strengths. Standard gift wrapping is free if you select it on the product page, though bedding plants are excluded, so it is easy to send a plant as a present. A 30-day plant health guarantee promises a fix if you are not happy with your plant. A Vicky's Picks section offers curated choices, and the care and advice pages help beginners. Olive trees and olive bushes dominate the best sellers, priced from £27.99 to £39.99. Overall, it is a sensible option for one-off plant gifts in the UK. If you want a subscription, check the membership terms directly before signing up, because the site gives few details.
