What's in the box: A bag of freshly roasted speciality coffee, chosen by you or picked for you by Pact's system.
Pact Coffee is a UK coffee subscription that sends speciality grade beans, roasted days before delivery, on a schedule you control. You can pick coffees yourself from a range that keeps changing, or let Pact's system choose for you. The site says you can reschedule, skip, pause or cancel at any time and manage it all online. That flexibility is the main selling point, and it suits people whose coffee habits change from week to week. The website says subscribers save 20% on every order compared with one-off purchases. When we checked, it was also offering new subscribers 25% off two orders. If a coffee is not to your taste, Pact says it will replace it free of charge. The company is a certified B Corp and says it always pays more than the Fairtrade base price. It also publishes a transparency report and a sourcing policy, so buyers have some way to check its claims. Besides subscriptions, it sells brewing kit such as the AeroPress and Hario V60, plus gift vouchers and a seasonal advent calendar. The homepage says little about bag sizes or delivery costs, so check those before you sign up. For UK coffee drinkers who want fresh beans without being locked in, it is a sensible and well established choice.
