What's in the box: Pre-portioned packs of gently cooked fresh meals sized to your pet's calorie needs, with optional treats and probiotics.
Nom Nom is a fresh pet food subscription based in the US. Mars Petcare announced in January 2022 that it was acquiring the company. The service works in three steps. You fill out a profile about your pet, Nom Nom recommends a meal plan based on their nutritional needs and taste preferences, and then pre-portioned meals arrive at your door on a schedule you choose. The recipes are described as vet-developed and complete and balanced, made with real ingredients and gently cooked to preserve nutrients and texture. The company also sells treats and probiotics as add-ons, and it has recently introduced a product called Scoopable Meal Clusters. Cat owners should know one thing before signing up. Nom Nom's current homepage is written almost entirely for dogs, with no mention of cat food, so check the site to confirm that cat recipes are offered and suit your cat before you commit. The portioning and the clear nutrition claims are real strengths. Fresh cooked food usually costs more than kibble or canned food and takes up freezer and fridge space. The homepage does not show prices, so you will need to complete the questionnaire to see what a plan would cost for your pet.
