Munch Addict

What's in the box: A mix of full-size snacks and candy themed around one country, or around Japan for the Oishii Box.

Munch Addict is an international snack retailer built around two monthly subscriptions. The flagship Munch Box features snacks from a different country each month, while the Oishii Box focuses on Japanese snacks. Past boxes shown on the site include Japan, Australia and China themes. The company says boxes contain full-size snacks rather than small samples, with an emphasis on items that are hard to find in local stores. What sets it apart from many snack box services is the store around the subscription. You can buy individual snacks from a catalog the company describes as over 1,000 items, or order prebuilt bundles with no subscription at all. Subscribers can add chosen snacks to their first box, and prepaid subscriptions come with a bonus snack box. The site also runs spend-based rewards such as extra candy or soda packs. The homepage leans heavily on promotions and a self-made comparison chart against unnamed competitors, so read those claims with some caution. Box sizes and subscription prices are not shown up front, so check those details before committing. The site promotes fast US shipping, which may mean shorter waits than services that ship from overseas. Overall it is a flexible option for people who want monthly surprises but also like to pick their own favorites.
