Love Free From calls itself the UK's first gluten free subscription box and says it has been running for over six years. That is a longer track record than many newer boxes have. The idea is simple: each month you get a surprise box of gluten free food and snacks. Its strength is the number of dietary versions. Besides the standard gluten free box, there are boxes that also leave out dairy, oats or both. There are also vegetarian and vegan boxes, a mini kids box that is nut free as well, and an office perks option. If you are coeliac and also avoid oats, that kind of tailoring is useful and not easy to find. To give a sense of size, the August box held 13 products, five recipes and a set of brand discount codes and vouchers. The focus is on discovery, so expect smaller and newer brands you may not see in a typical supermarket. Because the contents are a surprise, you cannot choose items, and fussy eaters may end up with things they do not want. The front page does not show prices, so check the box pages for costs and delivery terms before you sign up. Orders seem to open month by month. The company is based in Enfield, London, and also runs a blog with recipes and information about coeliac disease.
