What's in the box: Two or three age-appropriate children's books chosen to fit your child's age, reading level and the preferences you set.
Little Fun Club is a long-running US book subscription that mails books to children every month. It covers a wide age range, from newborns up to about 12 years old, so a family can stay with one service as a child moves from board books to early readers and on to longer stories. Boxes come in two-book and three-book sizes. Each package is addressed to the child, which can make delivery day feel like a small event for young readers. Staff choose the books based on the child's age and reading level, plus any preferences a parent sets in the account dashboard. You get some say in the direction of the picks, but you do not choose specific titles yourself. Families with more than one child can share a single box among up to three kids or set up separate boxes for each. The main tradeoff is control. Because the books are picked for you, some months may bring titles you already own or ones that miss your child's interests. The site does not say what share of the picks are new releases and what share are older favorites. If you want an easy way to keep new books coming and you care more about variety than choosing each title, it is a sensible option.
