What's in the box: When it operated, each box held an assortment of packaged snacks chosen to be healthier than standard convenience snacks.

Healthy Surprise is no longer operating. Its website went down in November 2014, the service stopped, and the site does not load today. While it ran, Healthy Surprise was a US subscription box built around healthy snacking. Subscribers received regular deliveries of packaged snacks chosen to be more wholesome than typical convenience food. The appeal was simple: someone else did the searching and sent a mix of snacks you might not find on your own, so trying new brands took little effort. Like most snack boxes, the selection was chosen by the company, so subscribers had little say in exactly what arrived, and some items were bound to miss for some tastes. Because the business closed years ago, there is nothing to order, no current plans to compare, and no reliable way to reach the company. If you see old links, coupon pages or reviews that mention Healthy Surprise, treat them as out of date. Shoppers who want this kind of service today should look at healthy snack boxes that are still active and check their current terms, ingredients and cancellation policies before subscribing. This review stays here as a record of a service that no longer exists, not as a recommendation.
