Goulet Pens Ink Drop is no longer running, and you can no longer subscribe to it. It was a monthly fountain pen ink sample subscription from The Goulet Pen Company, a US online pen retailer. It had ended by June 2022, when Goulet's own podcast talked about it in the past tense. While it ran, each month brought a small, themed set of ink samples in vials. That let fountain pen users try a range of colors and brands before buying a full bottle. The main appeal was discovery. Someone else picked the selection, and the small sizes made it easy to test shading, sheen and flow with your own pens and paper. The Goulet Pen Company still runs its online store, which sells fountain pens, bottled ink, paper and accessories. It also still sells single ink samples, so if you liked the Ink Drop idea, you can build your own sample set one ink at a time. That is not the same as a curated box arriving on a schedule, though, and the store does not mention a replacement subscription. If you want a stationery subscription today, think of Ink Drop as closed and look for a box that is still running.
