What's in the box: When it operated, orders were single-serve sealed pods, each holding the ingredients and alcohol for one cocktail, beer or cider, made for the Drinkworks Home Bar machine.

Drinkworks is no longer operating. The pod-based home cocktail system was shut down in December 2021, pod sales ended in March 2022, and the drinkworks.com domain is now listed for sale. When it ran, Drinkworks was a joint venture between AB InBev and Keurig Dr Pepper. It was built around the Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig, a countertop appliance that mixed, chilled and poured single drinks from sealed pods. The pods covered classic cocktails such as margaritas, mojitos and old fashioneds, plus a few beers and ciders. The idea was bar-style drinks at the press of a button, with no measuring, shaking or keeping spirits on hand. Because the pods contained alcohol, where you could buy them depended on state rules. Restocking was more like buying refills for a single-purpose appliance than getting a curated box of mixers or bar tools. With the company gone, you can't buy new pods, get support or join any delivery plan, and the Home Bar machine has little practical use without pods. If you still own one, treat it as retired hardware. If you want easy cocktails at home today, look for a service that is selling and shipping now, and make sure it is open before you pay.
