What's in the box: When it ran, a delivery contained a selection of Country Archer jerky and meat sticks.

The Country Archer subscription no longer runs as it used to. Countryarcher.com now redirects to archerjerky.com, the site of the renamed Archer brand, and that site shows no subscription option. When it ran, the service sent Country Archer jerky and meat sticks to your door on a regular schedule, so you did not have to remember to reorder. The brand itself is still in business. Archer makes beef jerky, mini sticks, full size sticks and sausages. It says it uses 100% grass-fed beef and all-natural turkey, seasoned with real herbs, spices and marinades. Its mini beef sticks weigh half an ounce and have four grams of protein each. Its turkey sticks are described as 35 calories with 4 grams of protein and no added sugar. The range also includes bison jerky and a Mango Habanero beef jerky. The current site sends shoppers to a store locator and a where to buy page that covers stores and online retailers. It also offers an email newsletter for promotions. The site does not say whether recurring delivery is available anywhere else. If you liked the old box, the snacks are still easy to buy, but you cannot sign up for a subscription here, so we can't recommend it as a box service.
