What's in the box: When it was running, a box held several bottles of wine picked to match the member's taste quiz answers and past ratings.

Bright Cellars no longer operates as a separate service. Its website now redirects to Winc, and Bright Cellars customers became Winc customers in October 2024. When it was running, Bright Cellars was a US wine subscription. Members told it what they liked through an online taste quiz, and it shipped matched bottles on a regular schedule. Members could rate the wines they received to improve future matches. The notice on the redirected site says existing subscriptions moved to Winc automatically, along with account details, billing and shipping addresses, and order history. Former members are asked to activate a Winc account with their Bright Cellars email address and then confirm it through a verification email. The notice says deliveries continue on the same schedule and that members can still swap bottles, skip orders or cancel themselves. If you subscribed to Bright Cellars, check that your account has been activated and look over your Winc subscription settings. Billing now depends on the wines in each order, so you could be charged without noticing. If you never subscribed, there is no Bright Cellars box left to join. Winc is a different service, so judge it on its own merits.
